Weekend Update

What a rollercoaster of a weekend it has been! On Friday night, my excitement for the weekend ahead was dampened when I accidentally broke my toe. Ouch! But little did I know that this weekend had so much more in store for me.

Late Friday, our family was blessed with the arrival of a beautiful baby girl, Elyse. She made her grand debut, filling our hearts with joy and love. There's nothing like welcoming a new baby to fill your heart with hope for the future.

Despite the minor setback with my broken toe, I powered through and made the most of my time. On Saturday, I handled some household chores and ran errands.

I was also privileged to receive the gift of a mentorship call. It's always beneficial to connect with someone who can provide guidance and support on my personal and professional journey. I still don't know what I will be doing next, but it was an excellent experience to get some impartial guidance.

It wasn't all work and no play, to add some fun and pampering to the mix, I got my nails done and spent quality time with friends at a last minute, impromptu pizza and beer get together with friends.

Sunday, we were heading to see the Barbie movie - which was sweet and nostalgic, cute and funny at the same time...but before that, I was feeling inspired and creative, so I hit the keyboard and knocked out a children's book, two poems and three blog posts! I have found that the more I write, the more I want to write. Putting my thoughts into words and sharing my creativity with the world is incredibly fulfilling.

As the weekend came to a close, and I tucked myself into bed, I couldn't help but wonder what I could achieve with just one more day. With such a productive and eventful weekend, I can only imagine the possibilities that an extra day would bring!

Now, I'm looking forward to the week ahead, feeling grateful for the precious memories made and excited for all the adventures yet to come. If the weather holds out today we have tickets to see Pink! Here's to making the most of every moment!
