Unveiling the Power of Behind-the-Scenes Influence

Over the past week, as I've been navigating my path forward, a striking realization was weighing on me – the thought that I might have played it safe throughout my career. With fewer years ahead than behind me, I've come to feel that I had the potential for so much more. Instead of embracing my strengths, I chose to remain in the shadows, working behind the scenes, helping others realize their dreams and aspirations....instead of reaching for my own.

As I sit here, still without a solid plan, while those I've supported have moved on to achieve great things, doubt gnaws at me. It was undoubtedly a challenging week of introspection.

Then, almost serendipitously (there are NO coincidences!), a masterclass crossed my path. The instructor, unexpectedly putting together a session in just four days in August – a time when attendance is usually low – prompted me to sign up, something I tend to do but rarely follow through on, especially when it's free of charge. Attending a session this morning, the instructor offered me a fresh perspective: the notion that my contributions might have indirectly paved the way for others to achieve greatness – and that struck a chord with me.

Perhaps I've been an essential thread woven into a broader tapestry, facilitating others to shine. My role, often unseen, could have indirectly contributed to notable accomplishments. This realization adds a different layer of fulfillment to my journey, whether those I've supported recognized it or not.

The class emphasized that our actions, even when not in the spotlight, can set off ripples that lead to substantial achievements. This notion has eased the turmoil within me, granting a more balanced perspective on my career. While my desire for personal growth and meaningful individual contribution remains strong, I'm beginning to appreciate that my role, though behind the scenes, but done with care and great love, has carried significant purpose.

As I press forward, I'm determined to integrate the wisdom from this class, acknowledging that the support I've provided has played a pivotal role in enabling others to attain remarkable feats. This realization enriches my thoughts and reshapes my understanding of what it truly means to leave a meaningful impact - even if no one else knows.
