She's so tired

Tired of always feeling

Just not quite enough

Too little for some

For others too much

of loving - getting none in return

Giving all of her heart

But always left burned

of being strong for herself and for others

carrying the weight of the world

for her sisters and brothers

of being broken and frayed at the ends

Reinventing herself

over and over again

of the tears she cries every night

tired of the pain that she bears

with no end in sight

of this week, this month and this year

and she prays every night

that she could just disappear

of feeling so ill at ease

it's not rest that she seeks

she just needs some peace
