When you have a big goal, taking a giant leap may feel too overwhelming. It may even stop you before you start. Taking small, maybe even baby steps may make things more manageable. Breaking your goal down into smaller, actionable steps allows you to focus on one task at a time.

Smaller steps enable a sense of progress that builds momentum - it's like my "to do" list that I had when I was a kid 1. wake up✅ 2. make bed✅ It gives you a sense of accomplishment and keeps you motivated.

By breaking everything down into smaller subjects or components, you can focus on mastering the skills you need for that piece before moving on to the next - which allows you the time to master that skill and build a stronger foundation.

Smaller steps offer the flexibility to change course or adapt if needed. If you encounter unexpected challenges or changes to circumstances, it's easier to modify smaller steps than larger ones - without feeling completely derailed.

With each small step you take, you continue to learn and grow. Each step provides the opportunity to gain insights and to learn from your experiences...with smaller steps you are able to identify areas for improvement and make them along the way.

When taking smaller steps, you may also be able to see a potential pitfall or a problem and correct it before it becomes a huge issue, possibly reducing risk.

Smaller steps promote habit formation...by consistently taking small actions, you develop the habit of progress and you build resilience. It becomes easier to maintain your motivation and stay committed.

Don't be overwhelmed by your big a$$ goal...break it down, make it manageable...and go get it!

Happy Monday!
