Riding Out the Last Weeks of Summer

Can you believe it's that time already? The days are getting a bit shorter, the nights a tad cooler, and back-to-school is all parents are talking about. But hold onto your beach hats – we're not quite done with the sunshine and good times just yet.
I've been stuck in a beach-less bubble all year. But it doesn’t stop me from thinking and dreaming about it. Have you made it to the beach this year? Basking in the sun, feeling the hot sand burning the soles of your feet, the salty breeze tangling your hair and the sounds of the waves serenading you into the ultimate relaxation mode.
Those were the days for sure, when the sun hugged us with its warmth. Now it's starting to play a little hard to get. The weather's starting to shift…if it hasn’t where you are yet, I’m sure it soon will be. Shortly you’ll be trading in those tank tops for cozy hoodies (just kidding – I ALWAYS wear my hoodie!). But don't worry – that only means that a pumpkin spice latte is soon to be in hand. Maybe this year I’ll take a stroll through the park, where the crunch of leaves underfoot is oddly satisfying.
While some of us will be putting away the beach towels, others will be dusting off backpacks and stocking up on school supplies. It's time to trade swimsuits for school uniforms and parents find themselves stuck in the chaos of school drop-offs and pick-ups. But it's not all bad – there's something about the ending of summer that signals a fresh start on the horizon.
As much as I love summer, I always loved the start of the school year (even now!) I really think I would prefer a brand new notebook to a piece of jewelry. When you open the book and that fresh clean page looks up at you, ready for you to make your mark in it…anything is possible…
So, I’ve got my notebook open, ready to write my next chapter. As summer winds down, my last day at work (next Friday) is quickly approaching. The storyline is still a bit fuzzy, but sometimes, not knowing exactly what's next adds a dash of excitement.
So as we say good-bye (for now) to summer, we open our arms to the magic of fall. The leaves change color, the air gets crisper, and suddenly pumpkin-flavored everything is on the menu. Just like the trees shedding their leaves to start anew, I'm embracing the change, finding the beauty in the uncertainty and the thrill in the unknown.
So whether you're lounging on the beach, staring at your work desk, or gearing up for school runs, make sure you squeeze every drop of joy these last couple of weeks have to offer.
Here's to transition, beach dreams, and exciting twists ahead!
