Well, here's my good news story for the week. I've already said how hard it is for me to ask for help. But, I also know - if nothing changes, then nothing changes. I could go on not asking for the help that I need, and either try and figure it out on my own - taking way longer than it would have to take - and I would probably do it all wrong - or I would give up on it completely. So, I mustered all my courage and asked for help! Lo and behold - the person I asked to help me agreed! My hope is that not only will I have my problem fixed, but that I will learn something in the process and be able to do it myself going forward. Yay!
Since this is the holiday weekend, I made our Fun Fact about Independence Day... Did you know that the United States Declaration of Independence was not actually signed on July 4, 1776? While Independence Day is celebrated on July 4th, the document itself was adopted by the Continental Congress on that date. However, the official signing ceremony took place on August 2, 1776. It is believed that the famous signer, John Hancock, was the first to put his pen to the document, and he reportedly remarked, 'I guess King George will be able to read that!' So, while July 4th marks the momentous occasion when the Declaration of Independence was approved, the actual signing occurred a few weeks later.
Whatever your plans are for the holiday weekend - I hope they include fun, laughter and memories...please stay safe!
