Every Moment Is A Gift To Be Thankful For

Every day we get caught up in the every day of every day-ing. We wake up at 6am and go go go and the next thing you know, it's 9pm and you're getting ready for bed. I bet there's a few moments in every day that are something to be grateful for.

Tonight I had dinner with a very dear friend. She was actually the first friend I made when I moved here. Soon after we became friends, she moved out of state so we didn't get a chance to spend a lot of time together - but, truth be told, we were both so busy with our jobs that even if we lived in the same building, we probably still wouldn't see much of each other.

But this week found her in town. We both have a crazy week full of commitments, but tonight the stars aligned and we were able to carve a couple of hours out to have dinner. We laughed, reminisced, bitched and complained and caught up on everything. It was just one of those moments that remind us of the simple joys of life. The kind of moments that are easy to overlook, but the ones that fill your heart with warmth.

In the midst of our dinner, I couldn't help but feel grateful. Grateful for the friendship, for the shared memories, and for the opportunity to just be in the same space, sharing a meal and laughter.

Life is a whirlwind, and it's easy to get caught up in the chaos. But if there's one thing I've learned over the years, it's this: every moment is a gift to be thankful for. It's not about the grand gestures; it's about the small, beautiful moments that we often take for granted.

So, here's my little reminder for all of you: cherish the moments, even the seemingly insignificant ones. Embrace the spontaneity of life, and be thankful for those precious moments when the stars align, and you get to share a meal and laughter with someone you care about.
