Since my days in Junior Achievement, I always had dreams of being an entrepreneur. I had one, short-lived, successful business, but many others that were not so successful, in that they didn't make me any money, but still taught me valuable lessons.

In no particular order, some of my endeavors included...my craft business, "Little Shop of Hobbies" because I loved making gifts for my friends and family (I still do!) but what I found was that every item I made for a loved one had so much love put into it and I couldn't replicate that producing for the masses - it just wasn't fulfilling at all.

I've tried many MLM businesses - all because I believed in the products, but the whole focus on recruiting people didn't sit well with me. It may work for some, but not for me. What I realized was that I really wanted to serve, genuinely, not just sell something...

So then, I had a brilliant idea! I became a traveling manicurist...I could save my clients time by coming to them and doing their nails. Took all the classes (no license was needed back then) bought my supplies and off I went...until I had to do pedicures on people I hadn't specifically chosen for my class study - just ewww, no.

Enter wedding officiating. Inspired by my thoughts of becoming a wedding/event planner, I became an officiant to add to the list of possible services. I never became a wedding planner, but I performed a wedding ceremony for my cousins, an experience that left an indelible mark on my heart. Writing the entire wedding program filled with love and personal touches brought immense joy to my soul. But I questioned if this could translate to working with strangers, as it's the deep connection that truly fuels my passion.

Looking back now, I don't regret any of it. Part of finding what you want is also discovering what you don't want. So, as I step into my still uncertain future, I'm excited about what lies ahead. I know that my passion for heartfelt connections and service will lead me to where I'm meant to be. Each step, successful or not, brings me closer to understanding myself and what I truly want.

If you're on a similar path, don't be afraid to try new things. Remember that it's not just about reaching your destination, it's about the growth, the learning and the joy of finding yourself along the way.

Here's to next chapters - filled with adventure, love, purpose and surely...a few more surprises!
