Bella Luna

Last night there was a full moon. Unfortunately, the cloud cover was so heavy I could not see it at all...I was so disappointed! Hopefully tonight it will be more visible. The view of the moon is spectacular from my balcony!

This full moon was called the Strawberry Full Moon and it got its name due to its alignment with the strawberry harvesting season, but it also holds a unique energy that invites us to embrace the sweetness that life has to offer.

I fell in love with the moon many years ago. An old flame and I lived many, many miles apart. During one of our phone conversations at night, we were discussing the distance and he told me to go outside and stand on my patio and to look up at the moon…and that he was doing the same. In that moment, we both stood looking up at the same moon at the same time, and the distance fell away. I have never forgotten that (thank you GH ❤️)

Now, whenever I get the opportunity to gaze up at the moon, and especially on the nights with a full moon, I think of the people that I am at a distance from, geographically and otherwise. Friends and family that I love that have just drifted apart. Those that chose to walk away from me and also those that I have had to walk away from. I imagine, if only for a moment, that they are looking up at that same moon and I send them all my love and best wishes for a happy life...and then I do the same for myself.
