I don't know about you, but asking for help is the hardest thing for me to do. To say that it has gone badly in the past for me, is putting it pretty mildly. I've always though that asking for help meant I was weak - that I couldn't handle "it." That actually is not the case. Asking for help is actually a strength - something that can lead to personal growth, success in your career and even in your relationships. Obviously, one of the benefits of asking for help is that you receive assistance with the problem at hand. Need to move a sofa? Asking for help from a friend saves a ton of time and energy. Need help understanding something...your bank statement? MY bank statement? 😁Seeking help from people who know the subject matter better than you do, not only provides you the answer, but may teach you something (learning to read a bank statement) - which then grows your understanding...you've learned something new. When you ask for help (and get it) it creates a bond - an energetic bond between you and that person. It creates connection, trust and a sense of community. I have found that (most) people want to help. I found the most incredible supportive help last year -- from strangers on Facebook of all places. People feel good when you ask them for help - unless you're asking them to move the sofa --- yeah, they don't want to do that! I encourage you to bite the bullet and ask for help when you need it. Give help when you can. That's really what life is all about - helping each other. Together, we can make a meaningful impact, not just in our own lives, but in the lives of others. Happy Tuesday! #help #gohappyyourself
